How Long do PRP Microneedling Results Last?
Following the PRP microneedling facial procedure, cells will continue to regenerate for over three months, with results from PRP microneedling usually lasting more than a year. Depending on the level of skin damage in question, a series of treatments may be recommended for optimal results, with a period of 4 to 6 weeks between each PRP facial.
Do I Need to Prepare for PRP Microneedling?
Before getting a PRP Microneedling facial, Englewood, NJ patients are urged to stop using any retinol or Retin A. It is also important for patients to inform Dr. Gor of any medical conditions they live with, as well as any medications or supplements they take on a regular basis.
Can Anyone Get PRP Microneedling?
Patients at our Englewood, NJ Medical Spa range in age from their 20s to their 70s. Anyone who is healthy and does not suffer from any serious underlying medical conditions is an ideal candidate for the safe, completely natural PRP Microneedling facial.
However, if patients have a history of blood disease, particularly blood clotting or bleeding disorders, PRP microneedling may not be appropriate for them. That being said, our Englewood, NJ medical spa offers a variety of other treatments for such patients that are completely safe for their conditions.
Is PRP Microneedling Safe?
When performed in a medical facility licensed to do so, PRP Microneedling Facials are completely safe. The treatment is completely natural, and uses the patient’s own blood, so there is no risk of allergic reaction or side effects.
Why is it important to go to a Medical Doctor for PRP?
Since PRP is an intravenous treatment, it is important to be performed in a completely sterile environment, such as our Englewood, NJ Medical Spa. By coming to Dr. Gor for your PRP Microneedling Facial -rather than a non-medical provider such as a beauty salon- patients are ensured to walk away from the PRP facial free from infection and without experiencing any damage to the skin.
There have been documented cases of individuals traveling to Mexico for low-cost PRP facials and being exposed to HIV, something that would never happen in a licensed medical facility.
Are There Alternatives to PRP Microneedling if I Don’t’ Like Blood?
If the PRP Microneedling facial doesn’t sound right for you, our Englewood, NJ Med Spa offers a number of other anti-aging and skin smoothing chemical peels, as well as radiofrequency and laser skin treatments.
