AccuTite Skin Tightening – Frequently Asked Questions
AccuTite by InMode is an amazing, state-of-the-art, non-surgical skin tightening treatment like no other. While there are many skin tightening technologies on the market now, few (if any) offer the unparalleled precision of AccuTite. This makes it ideal to target those smaller areas of the body – like eyelids and knees – that previous generations of skin tightening machines couldn’t reach.
In this article the skin tightening experts at Better U Medical Spa answer our Hackensack, NJ patients’ Frequently Asked Questions about this revolutionary new treatment.
How Does AccuTite Tighten Skin?
AccuTite uses “radiofrequency assisted lipolysis” (RAFL) technology to simultaneously tighten skin and liquefy fat cells. Radiofrequency is a natural and gentle, but extremely powerful, form of heat energy. When applied to the skin it immediately causes contraction of the protein fibers within the skin – for instant skin tightening effects.
The RF thermal energy also continues to work after the treatment, by stimulating the body to produce collagen and elastin. The collagen builds a tight, firm scaffolding under the skin to keep it from sagging. And the renewed elastin is what enables skin to “snap back” rather than sag.
Additionally, the warm radiofrequency energy “liquefies” fat cells in unwanted areas – which are then absorbed and eliminated over time by the body. Essentially, it’s like melting extra fat, and then shrink wrapping the skin – for a tight, smooth appearance in the treatment area.
Where Can AccuTite Skin Tightening be Used?
Other skin tightening treatments are great for large areas of the body, like flabby abdominal skin, or saggy buttocks. But those machines are too large and too powerful for small or delicate areas of the body – such as the eyelids, knees, and female genitals.
And sometimes, its these smallest areas that bother us the most. Drooping eyelids can add years to one’s appearance. Hanging knees can make a woman too self-conscious to wear skirts or shorts. And distended and wrinkled labia can certainly undermine a woman’s confidence in the bedroom.
AccuTite is small and sensitive enough to tighten skin on all of these areas – and more. AccuTite is a great non-surgical alternative to getting your “eyes done” or having a painful and expensive surgical brow lift.
AccuTite is also highly effective in reducing “nasolabial folds” – the “laugh lines” on each side of your nose down to each side of the mouth. It can also minimize the “puppet lines” that appear at the corners of the mouth and run down the chin.
AccuTite is also great for removing bra fat or “bra rolls” – also called armpit fat or back fat – that bulges out when wearing a bra. Upper arms (bingo wings or bat wings), are also good candidates for AccuTite skin tightening.
And, AccuTite is so precise and delicate it can even be used in the vaginal area to smooth, tighten and reduce the labia “lips”! Loose skin on the hands, knees, thighs, and belly can also be tightened and smoothed with AccuTite!
Is AccuTite Safe?
Because AccuTite uses 100% natural radiofrequency heat energy it is completely safe – and has been cleared for use by the FDA. The mechanism also has built-in heat sensors that measure the temperature of the skin during treatment, automatically shutting off if it gets too hot.
What is An AccuTite Treatment Like?
On the day of your treatment you will be given a local anesthetic, to ensure a pain-free and comfortable procedure. Once you are numb, a tiny probe will be inserted under the skin and an electrode will be placed on the surface of your skin. The gentle radiofrequency energy flows from the cannula to the electrode, liquefying fat cells and tightening the surrounding skin.
The procedure only takes from about 15 minutes up to an hour, depending upon the size and number of areas being treated. And, unlike many other skin tightening procedures, a single AccuTite treatment per area is typically all that is needed!
How Long Does AccuTite Skin Tightening Recovery Take?
Because AccuTite Skin Tightening is a minimally invasive treatment there is very little downtime. There are no incisions to heal, and very little swelling or redness. Our Hackensack patients report feeling some soreness or tenderness for a few days – but no longer than a week. And most AccuTite patients are able to resume daily activities within 2 or 3 days.
When Will I See AccuTite Skin Tightening Results?
Patients will almost immediately see some fat loss results, as well as some instant skin contraction. As the body continues to produce collagen and elastin, to tighten and firm the skin, results are often most noticeable after about 6 weeks. But skin will continue to improve in the treated area for up to one year after the procedure.
And, AccuTite skin tightening results can last up to an amazing 5 years! Making good lifestyle choices, avoiding direct UV sun exposure, hydrating, eating a healthy diet, and not smoking, can all help prolong the results of AccuTite Skin Tightening.
